to expand client base. Will measure using KPI metrics, Trafficking website traffic to analyse sales revenue and bottom-line growth.

Uncover Pain points to solve for users and stakeholder to plan path forward.
Client Pain Point
Relying on email or Instagram for orders slows production. Emails are not able to sort and group multiple orders. Client would have to do this via a spreadsheet, taking time away from production. As sole producer of the items, this isn't efficient for increased sales.

Market Research ~ Identify User Problem to adequately find a solution to solve user and client pain points.
I began my research by looking up the statistics of how many online hobby and craft sales there were from 2018 to 2021, which was two years before my client began and at least a year beyond her endeavor.

TALK TO CLIENT: APPROVE OR DISPROVE ASSUMPTIONS
Consulting with my client about the market and learning of her user's behavior, I was able then to conceptualize the most effective way to market my client to her users.
We will use cards to highlight her business goals, her inventory, and her face. A card of my client's face will inspire trust and confidence in user's ability to inquire further. Advertising her best sellers will inspire user to look deeper into the categories.
Design Pages and elements to retain user engagement.
-
Utilized a big Button on Homepage so Users could purchase items Impulsively.
-
Added a Learn More button so that users can learn about the product if they are interested.
-
Cards remained big for users to look at detail (When users are able to confidently see a craftsman's work, they are more likely to want one for themselves.
-
Utilized the color pink and purple in color palette to appeal to the psychology of femininity and regal luxury.

With the elements of the site agreed to, i could now develop a site map and user flow to prepare for usability testing

Setting up Usability testing to learn of user engagement metrics
With the Flow chart and the Site Map complete, pages designed, I can now set up a usability test to test the usability of the website and ask the following questions.
Usability inquiries to learn if user flow needs to be simplified.
-
Is the navigation clear and easy to use?
-
Are you able to purchase items immediately from one click or do you need more than one to complete task?
-
Are items clear enough to make you want to purchase
-
Is the customization button and form easy to use?
-
Do you have any suggestions that would make this site easier to use?
User #1, Ga
"Website was beautiful. I loved the pretty pink color. It was easy to scroll to a product, select it, customize it and it brought me directly to checkout. Process was clean and simple. Much better than sending an email and awaiting a response. Since I been with Kim since the beginning, I can't wait to use the site to place an order"
User#2 CN
The site was simple to navigate, but the only thing I would say is missing is an upcharge button or a way for Kim to charge for international ordering."
User#3, GA
I thought the navigation was straightforward, but there wasn't a lot of product, at least not as much as was available via Instagram?
Iterating on Insights to learn of potential user engagement or cart abadonment.
With the insights from usability testing, I can now decide which insights can be addressed now or when business scales. I addressed two of the insights. I added a button for Canadian users to add the customs tax and I added more inventory which would include more users. I also added alt text under all the images to make the site more accessible for those using screen readers.
What I learned
-
marketing and branding for a particular market by doing the research for this product.
-
I learned different ways to use typography and card placement to excite and engage users.
-
I learned that you can solve multiple pain points by not just listening to the problems that a user or client bring to you, if you do the research of why something is happening, you can address multiple pain points at the same time.
-
I learned the psychology of colors by investigating the requested colors by client and trying to find a color palette to go with it.
Next Steps
As the client is on a website that will track major KPis such as SEOs, user dropoff, and cart abandonment, I will check back on these in six months and see if there is anything that can be done to leverage these insights.

User feedback will be sought for ways to continually improve.

More pages will be included as business scales. These will include pages for accessibility, including terms and conditions, membership page, and also a policy page.
Value Brought to client
These are the things that was brought to the client via this project.
-
Client can rest assure that the product she is shipping is final and no customizations were missed.
-

-
Users are able to customize their craft immediately rather than email, which could get lost in the inbox through production.
-
Client can actually focus on production and disregard order taking via customization.
-
Client has a functional user flow for her users
-
Client can scale her business without any assistance as it is easy to just add inventory to the categories with the click of a button.
